Riding tights or breeches (Jeans are permissible with paddock boots and half chaps)
Riding Gloves with grip or leather.
FEES, CANCELLATION, WEATHER
FEES ARE DUE AT THE FIRST LESSON OF THE MONTH. (This is even if you have carried a lesson from the previous month. A late fee of $35 may be assessed after that date. I accept cash, check, venmo, paypal and zelle. IF your first lesson falls in the middle of the month you will pay for the remaining lessons at the hourly rate and start the lesson plan rate at the beginning of the next month)
NO LESSONS WITHOUT PRIOR PAYMENT. LESSON $$ DUE AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR LESSON.
YOU MUST SIGN IN FOR YOUR LESSON AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR LESSON.
LESSONS PAID BY THE MONTH DO NOT CARRY TO THE NEXT MONTH.
IF YOU ARE ON A LESSON PLAN YOU MUST PAY AT THE FIRST OF THE MONTH, OTHERWISE WILL BE CHARGED BY THE HOUR LESSON.
IF YOU NO SHOW YOU DO NOT GET TO MAKE UP LESSONS.
24 HR LESSON CANCELLATION-If you need to cancel a lesson you MUST give at least 24 hours notice. Period! Please give notice as soon as you know you will not be able to make your lesson. It is not fare to change lessons at last minute when someone else could have your lesson time slot. You will be charged for the lesson if you no show or do not give 24 hour notice!
If you are late to a lesson you will be given a lesson with the time that is left. No rescheduling or makeups! If you are more than 15 minutes late you will forfeit your lesson.
Lessons will NOT carry over to the next month unless I cancel the lesson. You are allowed 1 make up to carry to the next month. You must make arrangements to make up lessons you cancel. I am more available now than ever and there should rarely be a need to carry a lesson. I am available everyday except some weekend and Sunday evenings.
If you no show you will be charged for the lesson and you will NOT be able to make up your lesson. Please text if you feel you will be late or unable to make your lesson. The only time will be if weather is not permitting. Do not assume we will not have a lesson because of bad weather. Please text if the weather is questionable. I am quite reasonable and will usually not teach lessons in miserable weather. If I can be out there you can too.
Each student will be in private lessons until they are able to ride at the trot and groom independently. If I assist with grooming or tacking up it is part of your hour lesson.
If you are in a group lesson you must be able to catch and groom your horse by yourself. You may show up 15 minutes early if you have instructor approval. If I know you are coming and get a chance I will have the horse up for you but this is not guaranteed. You also will need to be able to reasonably tack up your horse without assistance. I will check your bridle and make sure the saddle is on correctly. The lesson is for the student and for liability purposes can only have the student participate. All students learn independent horsemanship and riding.
After your lesson you will need to clean your bit, bridle and saddle if asked to and put away.
Thank you for your cooperation. As we are growing it is important to adhere to these policies to be fair to all students and instructors.
